Alan is a Director in PwC’s Deals business and specialises in corporate restructuring, M&A and exit transactions across FS, primarily in the non-life legacy / run-off insurance sector.

He is a qualified professional with over 30 years of experience, the first 10 gained whilst working for a global insurance underwriter, with a particular focus throughout on non-core and discontinued business.

Alan helps insurance, banking and other FS clients generate value by the effective management of their run-off business via strategic planning and using techniques such as proactive claims management and commutations through to the use of exit solutions such as business transfers, M&A / reinsurance transactions and schemes of arrangement, working globally with clients spanning the UK (London Market and Lloyd's) Continental Europe, the USA, Bermuda, Australia, New Zealand and the Far and Middle East.

Alan is a Chartered Insurer and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is also an FCA Certified Person for Corporate Finance.
