Amelia Abbott

Amelia is a trainee pensions actuary in Manchester and started her career in the pensions industry with PwC in September 2021.

Amelia supports senior members of the pensions consulting team with advising corporate and trustee clients from a wide range of industries on a variety of aspects in relation to their defined benefit pension schemes.

This predominantly includes:

• Risk transfer projects;
  
• Acting as a project manager on numerous projects;
  
• Auditing corporate pensions disclosures;
  
• Supporting the PwC Pensions: Virtual Ideas Exchange;
  
• Triennial funding valuation negotiations; and
  
• Pension scheme restructuring projects.

Aside from this, Amelia is part of the steering committee for This is Me, a nationwide campaign led by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal in London working to destigmatise Mental Health, Neurodiversity, and Disability in business by encouraging people to share their personal stories.
