Real Estate Deals Partner, PwC United Kingdom
Ben is a Partner in our Real Estate Lead Advisory team within Deals. Based in London, he is the leader of our Real Estate and Capital Equipment Valuations teams in the UK.
He helps a wide range of clients to answer commercial and financial reporting related valuation questions. These include private equity, real estate and sovereign wealth investment funds, along with banks, developers, corporates and pension schemes. Ben advises on both strategic and transaction related considerations for real estate, capital equipment, equity, debt and related platforms. He specialises in complex situations, and how to think more broadly about valuations. His team includes experienced Chartered Surveyors and other valuation experts.
Ben has a broad backround of experience, over the course of the last 15 years he has worked in a variety of roles across our Deals business, including Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Transaction Services and Valuations. From a sector perspective, he has focused on Financial Services, Credit (loan portfolios, both performing and NPLs) and Real Estate throughout his career. Following the GFC, Ben advised on the Lehman Brothers Administration in Europe (in particular in relation to commercial real estate assets, residential mortgage whole-loan and securitised assets) along with many bank deleveraging processes in the UK, Ireland, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. He also spent a year at the Bank of England, helping to establish the Special Resolutions Unit.
Ben is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW).
The PwC Real Estate Lead Advisory practice specialises in providing strategic, financial and commercial advice on real estate at the highest levels in both public and private sector occupiers / organisations, private equity and with investors/ developers and land owners. This includes advising occupiers, provdiing M&A advice, valuation, strategic options analysis, financing and investment structuring expertise across all real estate sectors.
