Chantel is a Senior Associate and Solicitor in PwC’s Employment Legal team. Chantel advises clients on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters. Chantel has worked with a diverse range of clients from start-ups to multinational organisations.
Skills and experience:
- Litigation: Chantel has recently worked on a complex Employment Tribunal claim, involving sex and disability discrimination. Chantel acted on behalf of a large professional services firm to successfully settle the matter.
- Drafting contracts, policies and handbooks: Chantel has advised on, drafted and updated documentation relating to the employment relationship to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice including service agreements, secondment agreements,, director termination letters and employee handbooks.
- HR and legal advice:Chantel provides assistance to clients on all stages of the employee life-cycle, including recruitment, ongoing management and dispute resolution. Chantel has also recently undertaken a secondment at a technology start-up, where she provided on-site HR support and managed the client’s recruitment and legal compliance workstreams.
- Internal investigations: Chantel has assisted on a number of complex grievances and disciplinary processes involving senior staff/ stakeholders. Chantel has experience in both conducting the initial investigation (involving collating witness evidence, report drafting and outcome delivery) and also the appeal procedures.
