Director - Tax Disputes, PwC United Kingdom
Ciaran is a Tax Director in our Tax Disputes and Governance team with a specific focus on corporate and partnership matters. He has significant experience in assisting clients of all different sizes and segments with the resolutions of disputes with HMRC, tax strategy, proactive tax risk management and tax operating model effectiveness.
He is a former HMRC inspector who was a Customer Relationship Manager and Tax specialist during his time at HMRC giving him experience of tax risk and policy from both HMRC’s and a taxpayers perspective along with an in-depth knowledge of HMRC’s approach to tax risk management and a deep understanding of tax administration, including knowledge of internal governance structures within HMRC. Outside of Tax Disputes, Ciaran also has extensive experience in Shipping (in particular the UK tonnage tax regime), Professional Partnerships and Private Equity.
