David is the leader of the UK treasury advisory team. He has extensive treasury and related commodity risk management experience, having been involved in numerous projects providing treasury, cash, commodity and foreign exchange advice in all industry sectors.
He has a deep technical knowledge of international corporate treasury, cash and commodity risk management issues from his ten years in senior treasury, commodity trading and finance positions at Tate & Lyle Plc, followed by fourteen years with PwC. A member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers (ACT), David has developed his appreciation of the broader finance function by qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA).
He has recently assisted or is currently assisting; a rapidly growing middle eastern Oil and Gas business to develop its finance and treasury capabilities including the building of a global treasury and commodity risk management from scratch, a global steel and mining business to develop its treasury capability including the ability to hedge major commodity risks, a UK based airline and tour operator to develop its treasury framework and select a treasury and commodity risk management system.
