Georgie is a UK qualified lawyer and Partner in our International Business Reorganisations practice with experience of advising large corporates (listed and multi-national companies) and multi-territory organisations on complex cross-border restructuring and compliance projects. He frequently works in a multi-disciplinary team alongside our Tax, Accounting and Consulting specialists, to provide clients with a holistic approach to change management and corporate simplification.

Based in London, Georgie specialises in corporate technical law issues arising out of corporate restructurings. This includes cross-border mergers, share and asset transfers, advising on undervalue transactions, debt refinancing, listing of Eurobonds, Court approved and solvency statement reductions of capital, share buybacks, reserves planning and corporate governance.

  • Advised a FTSE 100 client on a major international restructuring and business divisionalisation project carving out a c$5 billion business across 22 global jurisdictions.
  • Advised a Fortune 100 multinational conglomerate corporation on the carve out of two of its non-core divisions working across 44 jurisdictions. Once separated both divisions were listed on the NYSE.
  • Advised a US listed company on numerous restructuring projects including post deal integration, cash repatriation and simplification programmes.
  • Advised a FTSE 100 client on a restructuring and refinancing of its existing European business to benefit from commercial efficiencies and reducing FX exposure.
  • Advised numerous FTSE clients on the spin/carve out of their Russian operations as part of third-party sales to local Russian purchasers.
