Marc Bena

Marc leads complex Assurance and Advisory projects on Technology and Business Risk, Process and Controls. He joined PwC France in 1995 and moved to PwC London in 1999. Marc joined the Assurance Executive team in February 2017 as the People leader for Assurance.

He has advised banking and commercial clients on IT Risks, implementation of IT control frameworks, review of complex systems implementation, review and design of application and automated IT controls including in mainframe environments. He has led the Sarbanes-Oxley s404 assessment and advisory on several large US clients. 

Marc has worked with a wide range of internal and external audit clients in various industry sectors (Banking, retail, technology and FMCG). Over the last few years, Marc has been the engagement leader responsible for the systems and controls audit of 8 different FTSE 100 including major UK retail and investment banks. 

Particular areas of expertise include:

• IT and Business resilience, helping clients understand root cause of incidents, reduce the likelihood of future incidents as well as the speed of recovery
  
• Providing Assurance on complex programmes or systems implementation, giving confidence that programmes are delivering as intended
  
• Reviewing, developing and improving Risk Management Frameworks, including IT and business processes and controls
  
• Leading complex systems and control work as part of external financial audit
