I am Mária Roman, a Senior Manager in the Data Protection Strategy, Legal and Compliance Team.
I currently work as the Data Protection/GDPR Practice Driver. My experience includes managing large-scale consulting and auditing projects regarding IT Compliance, IT Risk, IT Governance, Security, IT Control Assessments, and Project Management and Project Assurance.
I joined PwC in Venezuela in 1998 and in 2011 I moved to the Firm in Brazil. I have been in PwC UK since 2016 working with consulting and more recently alongside all the teams supporting the business with the data protection practice across the Firm. I also participated in the development of the technology self assessment tool which allows clients to understand their GDPR readiness against the GDPR technology requirements before May 2018.
