Matthew Hall

Matthew is the Market Senior Partner for PwC's Edinburgh office and leads PwC's audit practice across the central belt in Scotland. He is an audit partner with over 20 years’ experience working with private, private equity backed and listed businesses, ranging from fast growth startup companies to large multinationals.

Some career highlights include:

• advising on the successful IPOs of ContourGlobal in 2017 and Auto Trader in 2015;
• supporting ContourGlobal plc and Meggitt plc through a number of class 1 acquisitions;
• working with a large number of PE backed companies through to successful exit transactions - including Eight Fifty Food Group, Wireless Logic, The Priory, Safetykleen, The Foundry, AIM Aviation, Ubiquisys, Choice Group - to name a few!
• helping management teams of private businesses through MBOs, refinancings, acquisitions, and more broadly realising their growth ambitions.

Matthew also previously worked in our transaction services business giving him first-hand experience of advising companies on a variety of public transactions, including IPOs, acquisitions (including class 1), and a variety fund raising transactions.
