Nicola Shield

Nicola was appointed the Global Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer from 1 July 2024. She originally joined the firm and trained as an auditor, and is ACA qualified, before focusing on risk and controls. Nicola was head of Governance, Risk, Compliance and Controls (GRC) and then became the UK firm’s Ethics Partner in 2020. Over the years she has advised many different companies on risk and controls including compliance with regulations, advising on broader control framework approaches and on risk culture and conduct for both FS and non-FS clients. Nicola still spends some of her time advising clients.
