Richard McGuire

Richard is a partner within PwC’s Asset Management audit practice and has more than twenty one years’ experience working with a number of traditional and alternative asset managers. He is the lead audit partner for a number of those managers and their fund products, both listed companies and private limited partnerships. He also has experience of working with private equity houses on reviewing carried interest models, advising on the accounting implications of Limited Partnership Agreements, controls reporting, track record assurance and as reporting accountants for IPOs.

Aside from a secondment to PwC’s Boston office, Richard has spent the majority of his working career in London, but works closely with colleagues in the US, Ireland and Luxembourg on global clients. Richard sits on PwC’s Global Asset Management – Industry Accounting Group, which responds to developments in IFRS that affect the industry through working closely with the standard setters and developing practical solutions to common issues. Richard is also a member of the BVCA Legal & Accounting Committee. Richard is a qualified chartered accountant and has a first class degree in Mathematics from the University of Bristol.
