Steve Frizzell

Steve has over 30 years experience, providing internal audit, risk and control services to the financial services sector. Steve is PwC’s UK Financial Services Internal Audit leader, operating across banking and capital markets, insurance and asset / wealth management. He also leads risk and internal audit services to the Sovereign Investment and Pension Fund sector.

Steve has hands-on experience as the Chief Internal Auditor of large financial institutions, including an extended period as the Chief Internal Auditor of a large global insurer and as Head of Internal Audit for the European subsidiary of a global investment bank. He provides specialist advisory services to large global regulated financial institutions to design, implement and quality assure leading practices. He has also worked with start-up fintech and challenger bank firms to establish their governance, risk and internal audit frameworks to efficiently and effectively meet regulator and stakeholder expectations.
