Teresa is PwC UK’s Head of Legal as well as a Partner in our Financial Services Tax team. She also spent 4 years on PwC UK's Supervisory Board, becoming the first Black partner to serve on the firm’s governance body, and chaired PwC's Partner Affairs Committee with governance oversight for partner admissions, income and well-being. At the 2019 Black British Business Awards, Teresa won the Senior Leader of the year in Professional Services.

“I am passionate about the asset management industry and privileged to advise many of its largest industry participants on tax issues impacting both the corporate and their products. The industry is predicted to grow by 50% in the next 5 years and I am excited about the prospect of helping asset managers address the opportunities and challenges.”

In Teresa's role as a PwC Partner in our Financial Services Tax team she advises on tax issues affecting global financial institutions and their investment products and has over 26 years experience in this space. Her experience includes advising on tax issues to products aimed at the retail, institutional, hedge fund and private equity sectors of the investment management industry. Teresa has written articles and publications and frequently speaks at conferences on issues affecting financial services institutions.

Teresa also leads PwC UK’s multidisciplinary legal service. Legal and company secretariat functions are undergoing a huge amount of change and transformation which has been accelerated by the pandemic, geopolitical crises and ESG. PwC's aim remains to focus on those areas that complement the services PwC provides more broadly to bring the best of business understanding, technology innovation and legal expertise to our clients.
