Tom has been advising clients on tax management since 1999 and leads our UK practice on making tax digital initiatives.
Tom advises both UK and international businesses, ensuring clients gain productive tax functions with compliant and efficient systems and processes and controls. He works across a broad range of initiatives, including tax function effectiveness, tax governance, tax risk assurance, supply chain mapping, determination & transformation, tax in shared service centres, compliance, data analysis, blockchain, software robotics, and e-invoicing. He specialises in VAT and Duty and worked on SAP, Oracle, Workday and Dynamics and the Vertex and OITD tax engines.
In the past, Tom has worked in the tax authorities policy unit, developing their co-operative compliance approach and audit services capabilities, so he is well placed to ensure clients can meet the demands of the regulators, now and in the future.
As an experienced Partner, Tom advises clients in their strategic decision-making process, particularly around selection, design and deployment of technologies and control frameworks, and effective ways of working by bringing an agile approach to transformation programmes.
