Ursula Newton

Ursula is a partner in the PwC Capital Markets team, and has specialised in capital market transactions for over 15 years. She has extensive experience of acting as reporting accountant for major IPOs and M&A transactions, including domestic and cross-border transactions under both the Listing Rules and the Takeover Code.

Recent significant transactions on which Ursula has acted as Reporting Accountant include:

• The main market listing of AutoTrader
• The TUI AG and TUI Travel plc all-share merger; and
• BT’s acquisition of EE.

Ursula was Chairman of the APB working party which produced SIR 1000 (Standards for Investment Reporting) and is also a contributing author for the Sweet & Maxwell manual on the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.
