GTAG issues further advice on UK Green Taxonomy

The UK’s Green Technical Advisory Group (GTAG) published two reports on 7 September 2023 setting out further advice on the development of the UK Green Taxonomy.

These are the latest in a series of reports on different aspects of the taxonomy. They cover how the framework will handle challenges relating to the availability of data, and the use of proxies. They also look at the treatment of existing ‘green’ financial products at the time of the launch of the taxonomy, and how product classifications will be handled as the taxonomy evolves. The recommendations are likely to form the basis of the UK requirements.
