We have been made aware that employment scammers posing as recruiters have been contacting people via email, fraudulently offering roles at PwC entities which do not exist. One such false entity is named ‘PWC Oil & Gas LTD’. ‘PWC Oil & Gas LTD’ is not a real company and job offers from this company will be fraudulent. In other instances, scammers have issued fake job offers from legitimate organisations using the name of a PwC partner as the sender.
Employment scammers can operate from anywhere in the world, often posing as employers or recruiters to steal personal information and money. They sometimes do this by falsely advertising roles and job opportunities via email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, phone calls or text messages. Please be wary of job offers that appear to be ‘too good to be true’ and that do not follow a professional hiring process.
At PwC, our recruitment activity is managed through our website. For the UK firm, all available roles are advertised here: https://www.pwc.co.uk/careers.html. Please note that we do not ask for payments during the recruitment or visa application process, and legitimate email correspondence from PwC will have the email extension @pwc.com. Job offers which do not originate from the firm’s recruitment system will not have not been sent by PwC and should be ignored.
To report a concern regarding a potentially fraudulent job offer, please contact our Business Conduct team.
