Following the Joint Administrators' announcement that they intend to apply for discharge of liability, the Joint Administrators filed the Second Witness Statement of Alison Grant in support of their application to the High Court for discharge of liability, on 4 March 2025.

The hearing is listed before Justice Hildyard at the High Court on 12 March 2025, at 10:30am.

The Joint Administrators will continue to publish updates on the progress of the discharge application as appropriate.

The Administrators are pleased to report that following significant progress made in the Administration, the Administration is at a stage where it is ready to be brought to an end.

The Administrators accordingly intend to apply to the English Court pursuant to paragraph 98 of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986 for a discharge of liability in respect of their actions taken as the Company’s Administrators such that the discharge takes effect 28 days following the conclusion of the Administration (“Application”).

The Application has been listed for hearing in a 3 day window from 10 March 2025 at the High Court (Chancery Division). Assuming that such an order is granted the Administrators propose to bring the Administration to an end before 23 March 2025.

Following an application to the High Court of Justice an Order has been granted permitting the Joint Administrators to make distributions to unsecured, non-preferential creditors of the Company, pursuant to Paragraph 65(3) of Schedule B1 of the Insolvency Act 1986.

Mable became a distributing administration on 24 June 2013, and now has a formal legal process for agreeing creditors’ claims. The Administrators have provided a Mable Statement of Claim form which can be downloaded here. The Administrators request that all claimants use this form for consistency, and all claims should be submitted with full supporting documentation. Extension of Term of Administration to 30 November 2025

On 1 November 2022, the Administrators made an application to the UK High Court to extend the administration for a further 3 years to 30 November 2025, to allow time to resolve outstanding matters as set out in the twenty-eighth progress report. Following an application to Court, an Order was granted by the Court extending the Administrators' term to office to 30 November 2025.

On 4 November 2016, the Joint Administrators of Mable were granted a six year extension to their term of office expiring 30 November 2022, pursuant to paragraph 76(2)(a) of Schedule B1 to the Insolvency Act 1986.
