PwC Corporate Finance advises Foresight Group on significant investment into leading fibre alt-net F&W Networks Limited

PwC’s UK Corporate Finance team is pleased to announce that it has advised listed alternative asset manager Foresight Group on their significant investment into F&W Networks Limited. This investment will facilitate and accelerate F&W’s roll out of the full-fibre-to-the-premise network, helping to support their ambition to pass over 1 million properties by 2025.

F&W currently provides 185,000 premises with access to a hyper-fast and reliable internet connection, and is in the process of expanding its fibre-to-the-premises infrastructure in 21 communities in the South of England including the Home Counties, Greater London and West Sussex.

This investment will deliver a hyper fast 1Gbps internet connection to further premises in the South of England, in line with the Government’s pledge to bring gigabit-capable broadband to at least 85% of UK premises by 2025.

This is the eighth in a series of digital infrastructure transactions where the PwC team have acted as M&A adviser recently, both building our expertise in this sector and supporting the roll out of fibre across the UK.

“We are delighted to have supported Foresight on this significant investment. Through their financial backing and wider experience, Foresight’s investment will support F&W in achieving their ambitious rollout plans over the next few years. The deal further demonstrates the importance of digital connectivity, and we are pleased to be able to support investment into this vital infrastructure.”
