PwC advises ED&F Man on the sale of ED&F Man Capital Markets to Marex

PwC’s Financial Services Lead Advisory team is pleased to announce it has acted as the lead advisor to ED&F Man on the sale of ED&F Man Capital Markets to Marex.

ED&F Man Capital Markets is a global financial brokerage with approximately 450 employees and revenues of over $235m. The brokerage provides futures and options, metals, fixed income, equities, Over-the-Counter (OTC) commodities and foreign exchange trading services.

Marex is a diversified financial services platform with revenues of $543m and is owned by JRJ, a private equity firm.

The transaction enables ED&F Man to focus on its core soft commodities trading business, whilst allowing Marex to expand its capabilities and earnings, alongside its presence in Dubai, Asia Pacific and the US.

PwC Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor to ED&F Man and the team advising on the deal was led by Duncan Skailes and Jeremy Sweetnam, with support from Phillip Burgess and Cameron Tomlins.
