PwC Corporate Finance advises Quickline on its milestone £250m capital raise

PwC's Corporate Finance team is pleased to announce that it acted as lead financial advisor to Quickline Communications Limited ("Quickline"), on its landmark £250m capital raise supported by the UK Infrastructure Bank (“UKIB”).

Based in Yorkshire, Quickline is a specialist provider and operator of fast and reliable fibre broadband solutions for hard-to-reach rural communities across the UK. Backed by Northleaf Capital Partners (“Northleaf”) and an experienced management team, Quickline is working closely with central government, local authorities, and local businesses to try and solve the connectivity problems that exist in deep rural communities.

The funding will help Quickline deliver four large contracts awarded under the UK Government’s Project Gigabit Programme in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, helping tackle the digital divide that exists across the UK and positioning the business strongly to become the leading rural broadband provider in these regions.

PwC’s Corporate Finance team has a longstanding relationship with Quickline and Northleaf, having advised Northleaf on their investment into Quickline in 2021.

This deal further demonstrates PwC’s capability as a market leading lead advisor in the digital infrastructure sector.

“We are delighted with the new capital being committed to Quickline which combines with the support we have enjoyed from Northleaf since they acquired a majority stake in the business in 2021. I would like to thank the PwC team who were instrumental from start to finish in helping to secure a great outcome. Throughout they have provided professionalism, dedication and capability at every stage. We are pleased to have worked with PwC and recognise their market leading expertise across the digital infrastructure space.”

Paul Howard,Chairman at Quickline

“We are very pleased to have supported Quickline and Northleaf on this milestone deal. At £250m, this investment will support Quickline in delivering the four Project Gigabit contracts. This deal demonstrates the significance of digital infrastructure assets and further highlights PwC’s capability as a market leading financial advisor across this sector.”
