PwC has acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Tevalis on their investment from BGF

PwC acted as lead advisor to the shareholders of Tevalis, a leading provider of best-in-class electronic point of sale (“EPOS”) solutions to help leisure and hospitality operators manage, streamline and deliver their food and beverage operations. The Tevalis EPOS platform combines order and pay, kitchen, stock and cash management modules, with a suite of business analytics and reporting tools, with a broad range of third-party integrations to offer customers a seamless turnkey solution.

Founded in 2005 by CEO James Cook, Tevalis has scaled organically to more than £8 million of annual sales and, with BGF’s funding, has ambitions of trebling recurring revenues over the next three to five years. This will be supported by additional investment in sales and marketing, product and partners, as well as looking at potential opportunities for international expansion. As part of the transaction, Rob Caul will join Tevalis as Chair.

PwC Corporate Finance acted as lead advisor to Tevalis - the team advising on the deal was Jeremy Sweetnam, Chris Whitehead, Iffy Hussein, Cameron Adamson, Dylan Longden and Joshua Ruston. A special thanks to Charlotte Willard and Kay Sin for their support on the transaction.

PwC’s Tax services were provided by Gill Pooler, Andy Herring and Gurinder Bhachu.

The expertise offered by the team at PwC from the very outset of this process has been invaluable in securing this investment from BGF. We have been hugely supported by Jeremy, Chris, Iffy and the wider PwC team throughout the process, and their advice has been paramount in achieving a successful outcome at this pivotal phase of Tevalis’ journey.”

James Cook,Founder and CEO of Tevalis

“We’re excited to be investing in an established technology business of scale with an ambitious growth plan. Operating in a fragmented market, James and the team have done an impressive job in establishing the Tevalis brand, with clear opportunities to increase market share, both at home and abroad. We look forward to building on the excellent relationship we’ve built with James through the deal process.”

Rob Johnson, BGF

“We are delighted to have supported the Tevalis team on securing this investment from BGF. We are continuing to see investors look to back ambitious management teams, and Tevalis operates in the growing space where software and payments overlap. This investment marks an exciting chapter in the journey of Tevalis, and we look forward to seeing how the business continues to develop over the coming years.”
