PwC UK advises Aware Super on its acquisition of a minority interest in Get Living

PwC UK Real Estate Lead Advisory, Tax, Financial Due Diligence, Forensics, Data Analysis and SPA teams are delighted to have provided buy side advice to the Australian superannuation fund, Aware Super, on the acquisition of Qatari Diar's 22% minority interest in Get Living.

Aware Super is one of Australia’s top performing and largest industry super funds with $A150 billion FUM. They are one of the top 50 institutional investors globally and take an active management approach to responsibly invest across alternative assets. This includes infrastructure, real estate and private equity, as well as liquid markets. Aware Super is also Australia’s largest build-to-rent investor with direct investment in residential properties across Australia, Europe, and the United States.

Get Living was established in 2013 and with the acquisition of the Olympic Village in Stratford, was one of the first movers in the UK's Multifamily BTR sector and is now a leading developer and operator of large scale residential neighbourhoods.

Backed by Qatari Diar, APG and DOOR, Get Living have aggregated a £3bn portfolio comprising approximately 4,000 operational homes in East Village, Stratford, Elephant Central and New Makers Yards in Manchester, together with an additional secured development pipeline of approximately 6,500 homes.
