The futures framework

The futures framework, created by Strategy&, PwC's strategy consulting business, sets out four potential visions of the future.

The scenarios, driven by data, are based around two critical levers. The first is the level of technological innovation. This is where we move from the general purpose technologies of mass production, towards the fourth Industrial Revolution, characterised by the fusing of the physical, digital, and biological spheres.

The second is the distribution of power and resources. The crucial question - will these extraordinary technologies be concentrated in the hands of a few,or the hands of many?
