175 years of community impact

As we celebrate our 175th anniversary as a firm, we are reflecting on how our work with schools, theatres, environmental and health charities, among others, has evolved over the years. We have a long-standing commitment to the communities in which we operate, and our UK programme continues to evolve and adapt, responding to local place-based needs.

We have come a long way from our early days supporting the formation of Ham Yard Soup Kitchen and Hospice in response to the appalling social conditions in 19th century London, or the creation of Toynbee Hall in London’s east end. Our current community programme is about sharing our skills and resources in collaboration with social enterprises and charities across the UK to support their beneficiaries.
