Technology and innovation

Our community of technologists can be found across the firm with specialists sat in every Line of Service and our central technology function. Our teams have access to the latest technologies and use these tools to develop solutions that solve our clients’ most important problems.
Having made significant investments in technology, we have focused on helping our people leverage these technologies in FY21. We have continued to digitally upskill our people and to embed our core tools.
Our technologists are led by Ben Higgin, Head of Technology and Investments, and we are building on the strong foundations of our technology function to support the evolution of our service delivery, client collaboration and business transformation.

Digital accelerators

Despite the pandemic, we launched the second cohort of the Digital Accelerators programme - our technology change agent network. We had huge interest across the firm in this opportunity to develop digital and leadership skills. Applicants came from across the business and all grade groups.

The 270 new Digital Accelerators will join the existing global community of 4,000+ Digital Accelerators who have been upskilled and are now actively sharing their knowledge and applying their new skills to projects and engagements.

Digital Lab

Digital Lab is a living repository for digital assets that can help our people make working life easier and more efficient.

The Digital Lab includes many hundreds of user created digital assets from the UK and around the globe, and makes them discoverable by the whole UK firm. These assets were invaluable as the firm shifted how and where we work. Using tools available on the Digital Lab our people were able to save time on daily admin, share innovative ways to support clients while working remotely and collaborate more easily.

Over 70% of the UK firm uses the Digital Lab on a regular basis. In the past year our people have contributed over 900 digital assets that help support our clients.
