
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has become aware of a fraud from Companies attempting to seek investment from individuals/corporates and banks by: a) circulating falsified "Willingness to Act as Auditor" letters naming PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as a proposed auditor; and/or b) filing accounts with Companies House which contain an audit opinion purportedly given by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP has and will continue to make court applications pursuant to the Companies Act 2006 to have these accounts removed.
Based on information provided to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, we are currently aware of the following companies who have filed accounts purportedly audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP or are seeking investors based on fraudulent “willingness to act” letters.
