Benchmarking is an important part of how we keep track of our progress. Taking part in awards schemes is one good way to maintain rigour in our data collection processes, to benchmark our programmes, and to gain valuable feedback from established external bodies, so that we can continue to challenge ourselves to innovate and improve.
We achieved the ‘Advancing’ tier of the Carbon Trust’s Route to Net Zero Standard. This demonstrates that PwC UK is advancing on a route to Net Zero path. We were the first organisation to receive this level of certification in July 2022.
We have held the Platinum sustainability rating in EcoVadis’ assessment for four consecutive years, scoring in the top 1% of respondents. EcoVadis is a global sustainability platform which rates our performance as a responsible business in areas covering environment, labour practices, ethics, and sustainable procurement. We were named a leader in carbon management for our 'strong GHG management system and best-in-class decarbonization commitments, actions and reporting capabilities’.
Over the years we’ve achieved a series of milestones with our buildings. In 2011 our More London office was the first new-build office to achieve the BREEAM offices ‘Outstanding’ rating. In 2014 our Embankment Place office was the first retrofit office to achieve the Outstanding rating. And in 2014, we relocated our Leeds office to the first multi-tenanted office to achieve the Outstanding rating.
We’re recognised as a Level 2 Accomplished Carer Confident Employer by Employers for Carers. This recognises employers who have built an inclusive workplace where staff who are, or will become. carers are recognised, respected and supported.
We’ve been voted as one of the UK’s top graduate employers by final year students, in The Times Top 100 Graduate Employers survey.
We’ve been recognised for our efforts in gender equality for the thirteenth year in a row in the Times Top 50 Employers for Gender Equality 2023. The unranked list, which includes public and private sector employers and organisations, is published in The Times in partnership with Business in the Community.
We won the 'Best for Flexible Working Award' at the 2021 Working Mums Top Employer Awards for our use of flexible working to navigate the challenges faced by working parents.

We’ve been awarded the highest accreditation in the City Mental Health Alliance’s (CMHA) ‘Thriving at Work’ assessment. The assessment is an evaluation and benchmarking tool for organisations to measure their progress in developing mentally healthy workplaces.
We’re recognised as a Level 2 Disability Confident Employer. Which involves challenging attitudes and increasing understanding of disability. Whilst also removing barriers and ensuring that disabled people have the opportunities to fulfil their potential and realise their aspirations.
We’ve been an accredited UK Living Wage Employer since the scheme’s introduction in 2011. This extends to staff of our suppliers who are permanently based at our sites across the UK.
PwC was rated as Beacon in Parental Fog Index 2022. We have rank in the top 16 out of 100 Graduate Employers to achieve this status - a commendable achievement. The Beacon status means that our transparency for supporting working parents runs through our DNA from the perspective of a graduate seeking employment.
