Transparency Report 2024 - Our annual Audit Awards

Chloe Taylor
Culture is really important to us at PwC and it is fundamental to delivering high quality audits. To drive a culture that supports quality, we have three Audit Behaviours: Team first; Challenge and be open to challenge; and Take pride.

I'm one of around 70 culture champs that we have across the audit practice. We work closely with leadership and our audit teams to share ideas and shape how we integrate the Audit Behaviours into everything that we do.

Excitingly, one of my roles this year was helping the judging panel to decide on the winners of our annual Audit Awards where we celebrate our people and teams bringing the Audit Behaviours to life.

Today I'm joined by two of our award winners, Kun Mei, winner of the Inspiring Individual Award, and Abhay Jindal, part of the overall Audit Behaviours Award.

Kun, coming to you first - can you tell us a bit more about what you've been doing this year that resulted in you winning this award?

Kun Mei
Thank you Chloe. I was very delighted to win the Inspiring Individual Award this year, which is one of our Take Pride Awards. Taking pride is all about recognising every instance of quality work, celebrating our successes and sharing our positive stories. And the Audit Awards are a big part of that.

I work in digital audit and one of the reasons I was nominated was for my contribution to our Women in Tech events where we inspire and support females to pursue a long term career in data and tech.

I really take pride in the work I do and try to act as a role model by sharing my story and bringing the purpose of audit to life.

Thank you Kun. It's easy to see why you've been an inspiration to so many.

Abhay, you were part of the team that won the Overall Audit Behaviours Award. This award is given to the team that embodies all three of the Audit Behaviours on an engagement, driving quality and demonstrating the purpose of the work that we do. Could you please tell us how your team brought the Audit Behaviours to life?

Abhay Jindal
Thank you, Chloe. First of all, our team is really excited to win this amazing award. We as a team always focused on fostering an environment that promoted quality while practising all the three Audit Behaviours in everything that we did. We had a fun and inclusive environment where we supported each other, which allowed everyone to perform at their best.

As a team, we created a safe environment to challenge ourselves and each other and face everything together. As Kun mentioned about taking pride, we as a team definitely celebrated all the big and small achievements throughout the audit, and I'm really proud that we could achieve this amazing success together as a team.

Chloe Taylor
Thank you. It's great to hear how the team brought all of the Audit Behaviours to life.

Congratulations again to both of you on winning your awards.
