National Life Sciences Virtual Briefing

Date: 17 June 2024
Time: 14:00–15:00 GMT
Format: Virtual discussion under The Chatham House Rule. The event will be hosted on Google Meet.

The event will include the following:

  • With the most radical overhaul of UK R&D credits since their inception, is the UK still attractive from a tax incentives perspective? We will discuss what these R&D changes mean for the Life Sciences sector, as well as the potential benefits to be gained from the patent box.
  • We will share an update on the changes to the UK listing environment, including considerations of whether this may make the UK market more attractive in light of the recent focus on the US market for Life Sciences funding and have a high level look at what is happening in the equity markets for sector companies in the UK and US.
  • Dave Farmer, a Partner from PwC’s Life Sciences team, and Stuart Newman from PwC’s Capital Markets team are joined by Stifel Managing Director Nicholas Moore to discuss how companies are navigating the challenges of the current funding environment.
