Our commitment to Social Value and how it links to our Purpose

Social Value at PwC

Colleagues discussing

Social value is the impact an organisation has on society. It considers the economy, environment, and people as one ecosystem which needs to thrive together.

While delivering excellent engagement outcomes for our clients, we work to deliver social value, and demonstrate authenticity in the actions that we take. You can read more about how we deliver social value in the FY23 Annual Report and our Purpose website pages.

Social Value in Government and Public Sector procurement

Government is driving the Social Value agenda by requiring authorities to assess the impact that a potential supplier might have on the economy, the environment and/or society when it awards contracts. At PwC, we are delighted that procurement considerations are aligned to important societal issues.

In forming social value commitments, we draw on the insights and resources from specialists across PwC, who provide deep expertise across all areas of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) services as well as our Purpose team who sponsor all aspects of Social Value from sustainable procurement, to our diversity, equity and inclusion team. This wide range of deep expertise supports us finding opportunities to deliver meaningful and measurable impact through the contracts we deliver.
