Drayton Manor Park Limited, Drayton Manor Park (Catering) Limited and Drayton Manor Park Hotels Limited (together the “Group” or the “Companies”)- in administration

Mike Denny and Peter Dickens of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP were appointed as joint administrators of the Companies on 3 August 2020.

The Companies operated Drayton Manor Park which is a family-run theme park based in Tamworth, Staffordshire. The park offers over 50 rides, Thomas Land, a zoo, various retail and catering outlets and a 4* star hotel with 148 bedrooms and conference facilities (the "Park").

Immediately following their appointment, the joint administrators successfully completed the sale of all of the Companies’ business and assets to a wholly owned subsidiary of Looping Parks UK Limited ("Looping"). Looping is a European group of regional leisure parks with 15 parks across the UK, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Spain and Portugal. In the UK, it currently owns West Midlands Safari Park and Pleasurewood Hills.

The sale has secured the ongoing employment of all of the Companies' employees who have transferred to the new business as part of the sale and the Park will continue to trade and operate as normal. In particular, all advance customer bookings with the Park will continue to be honoured.

For all queries in relation to the ongoing operation of the Park, we recommend that you continue to contact the Park through its normal communication channels.

Change of administrators

Mike Denny, one of the previous joint administrators, is soon to leave the firm. To make sure that outstanding issues in the administration continue to be pursued, an application was made to the Court to remove him and appoint Alison Grant as joint administrator. Alison Grant is licensed in the United Kingdom to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The application was granted and so Alison Grant replaced Mike Denny as joint administrator with effect from 4 January 2021.
