But at a functional level, tax remains some way behind other business areas, such as marketing, HR and finance in terms of where transformation projects are running and in development.
Yet tax has never been more complex, critical to commercial decisions or fast moving. It’s clear there is an opportunity for those responsible for tax to reframe their role and make a stronger case for transformative investment.
