Johan: When I think of human-led, tech-powered, for me it’s about human ingenuity, the power and creativity of our brains, coupled with the power of technology and data, and alliance partnerships and how we work together with other organisations to solve really important problems.

Faye: We’ve entered an era of volatility and so whether that’s pandemics, whether that’s the geopolitical environment, our clients are facing an environment where there are constant waves of challenges, of crisis, but also opportunity.

Johan: I fundamentally believe we can’t solve any of society's important problems without the combination of human ingenuity and technology. Whether that’s solving climate change challenges, supporting our businesses with supply chain challenges, all of these require the combination of both.

Johan: We’ve created a platform recently that’s helped thousands of British businesses get access to funding through innovative ways to help them grow their businesses. So how do we do that? We created the platform using our deep industry expertise and we partnered with our alliance partners who brought the best technology to help solve this problem. We couldn't have done this yourself, but together, we were able to create this platform, that’s helped British business thrive.

Faye: So sometimes I like to think of myself as a conductor of an orchestra and I’ve got my strategy experts and that’s fabulous and you know when to bring kind of our tech colleagues or the alliances that we have.

Johan: Technology is everywhere, but we can’t fully embrace the power of technology without human insight. Technology and data gives us huge amounts of opportunity, but the human insight enables an organisation to work out they want to enter this market, they want to solve this problem, they can help this consumer in a certain way and that’s the power of technology. It’s unlocked with human insight and personal care and touch.

Faye: The ability to really understand and explore what the problem is, what do we need, then the ability to roll out a service or to deliver a solution, at pace and scale and to know whether we’re going to be on track and are we delivering those end benefits, I think its a total game changer.

Johan: We are completely committed to investing time and effort to digitally upskill our people, not just for now, but for the future. As well as partnering with other organisations to upskill them and learn from them to drive this agenda forward.
