Black Talent in Business Programme

Through our Black Talent in Business programme you’ll complete a three-day paid programme, which could lead to a Summer Internship at PwC.

The aim of the programme is to foster Black undergraduate talent. Black talent is currently underrepresented in our industry. 50% of PwC’s 2024 graduate intake were from a minority ethnic group compared to the 27% ethnic minority students at UK Universities. However, only 6% of our graduates were Black compared to 8% of Black students in the UK university population eligible for our programmes.

So we know we have more work to do in reaching Black students and encouraging them to explore opportunities at PwC.

Open to all, this vacancy is aimed primarily at inspiring and supporting Black students seeking an experience in professional services as part of our commitment to improve diversity across the organisation. The programme focuses on developing confidence and skills and provides an insight into the opportunities available at PwC.

Through our Black Talent in Business programme you’ll complete a three-day paid programme, which could lead to an offer for a summer internship in 2026.

Applications for 2024 are now closed.

What you'll do

During this in-person three-day paid programme you’ll get an insight into what a career at PwC could look like. You’ll meet mentors and buddies who represent the variety of opportunities available across PwC. You’ll also meet some of our Black colleagues to hear about their own personal career journeys, as well as hear from some of our networks focused on Inclusion and Diversity. Through interactive sessions the programme will help you to develop confidence in a business setting and encourage you to bring your whole self to the workplace. At PwC, we nurture an environment where our people can be the best they can be.

Our Black Talent in Business programme will be an in-person three-day paid programme, so you’ll need to be in the UK in order to take part.

Dates of programme

The Black Talent in Business Programme runs in spring. Exact dates for our 2025 programme are to be confirmed.

Office Locations

You’ll need to apply to your chosen Line of Service, but we’ll ask for your office preference locations during the recruitment process. If you successfully complete the recruitment process we’ll then let you know which office you will be based in during the three-day programme. Please be aware that we may not be able to offer you your top office location.

Please note the specific office locations in the job description where we’re able to offer this programme before applying.

What you'll need

Our opportunities are only available for first year students on a three-year degree (or second year students on a four-year degree). Please make sure you check the job description to ensure you’re eligible for that specific role.

By submitting an application, you are confirming that you will be available to complete a Summer Internship in 2026 should you receive a subsequent offer.

This programme is open to students from any degree discipline. You'll need to have achieved, or be on track to pass, an undergraduate degree or above in any subject. We determine whether you're on course to pass based on the grades you achieved in your last completed year of academic study.

If you’re not currently studying towards a degree unfortunately you’ll not be eligible for this programme but don’t forget to look at our School and College leaver opportunities.

How to apply

To join the Black Talent in Business programme you'll have to complete and pass two stages of our selection process; the online tests and video interview.

Roles are filled on an ongoing basis unless otherwise stated on the job description. We may close to new applications if we’ve received a high volume of applications so we therefore recommend applying early. Please take note of the completion deadlines in your invitation email for every application stage.

If you're successful we’ll let you know by the beginning of March and you'll then be invited to the three day paid spring programme.
