About me

I joined PwC as a graduate and now work as an Associate in the Enterprise and Operations team in the Bristol Office. With a degree in German and International Relations from the University of Leeds, my background in languages (German, French, Italian, and Spanish) shows that you can join PwC from any degree discipline.

Tell us about your experience applying for your role?

I applied to PwC following careers-advice conversations while at university. I’d mentioned I wanted to be in a team-centric job and that I enjoyed working in high-energy environments, and was pointed towards Consulting. Deciding on applying to PwC specifically came following my own research. It was important for me to align my own personal values with the company I applied to andPwC’s emphasis on its people particularly piqued my interest.

My application process was definitely challenging at times, but the resources available on the PwC Employability Hub, especially the e-learns and practice tests helped me navigate the process with greater confidence and ease.

After my successful application, the onboarding process was really smooth and included multiple opportunities to meet fellow offer-holders from the Bristol office and online introductions with my cohort of other graduate joiners.

My advice for anyone considering applying is to fully leverage all the resources available on the PwC Early Careers website and do your research. Take the time to understand how your personal values align with PwC's values and how the firm's purpose resonates with you.

Tell us about your role and what you do?

Since joining as an Associate in the Enterprise and Operations team, I've developed a diverse skill set aimed at enhancing productivity and improving workflows within teams. This includes leading workshops, focus groups, and client interviews. One of my most significant challenges so far was utilising my degree to support German-speaking workshops during a two-week client engagement in Berlin. I really enjoyed putting my degree and language skills to the test which also highlighted that no matter what you study at university, you will come to the role with transferrable skills.

In addition to my daily responsibilities, I serve as the First Five Years National workstream coordinator. In this role, I organise initiatives and future plans for the Consulting graduate programme. This opportunity has allowed me to work closely with Senior Leadership, which has been a really interesting and valuable experience.

Which PwC values do you relate to the most?

I really value the emphasis on inclusion and wellbeing across the business. Since joining PwC, I’ve had a dedicated Talent Coach who’s been my first point of call for any concerns or advice. My colleagues' have also always been supportive and championed me to develop my career with different opportunities.

As a younger employee, I constantly experience a strong sense of inclusion. Despite my junior status, my voice and opinions are always heard and valued, whether in internal team meetings or during discussions with clients.
