About me

My name is Jade and I am an Associate in PwC’s Workforce practice. I joined PwC as a graduate in 2023.

Tell us about joining PwC?

In my final year of studying at the University of Liverpool, I started looking for graduate programmes. I attended a career talk hosted by PwC on campus where they offered valuable insight into the business, the career paths and roles available, and the company values - it sounded like a great place to work and so I applied. I also joined a virtual event to connect with employees and hear about their inspiring experiences at the firm. They described the inclusive and collaborative work culture at PwC, and spoke about the vast opportunities they were given to grow and develop their careers. This is definitely a true reflection of my experience so far and what I love about working at PwC.

Tell us about your role and what you do?

Since joining PwC, I’ve gained invaluable cross-sector experience across a variety of HR transformation projects in our Workforce practice, covering HR technology, strategic workforce planning and reward. I am extremely passionate about delivering value to our clients by supporting them in achieving their transformation goals and keeping their workforce at the heart of such changes.

Currently, I’m working on a HR Transformation project for a large UK-based client to enhance their employee experience, streamline and standardise their processes, and provide a single, centralised source for their people data. As a people person, I find it extremely rewarding building long-lasting relationships with our clients, supporting them with their challenges as well as seeing the benefits and value that we deliver.

Which part of the company value do you relate to the most?

At PwC, we’re inspired to maximise our positive impact on the community and are granted six volunteer days a year to support charities and initiatives we care about. Through this I‘ve had the opportunity to participate in sports events to raise money for Cure Leukaemia and to conduct sessions for students from lower socio-economic backgrounds to develop their teamworking and active listening skills in readiness for their future employment.

These activities are particularly meaningful to me as they align with my personal commitment to making a difference, having a positive impact on others, and fostering community spirit. It demonstrates the firm’s dedication and care towards social responsibility.

What advice would you give to students / graduates who are considering a role at PwC?

My biggest piece of advice to any students or graduates considering a role at PwC is to be open-minded, proactive, curious and willing to learn, as these behaviours will be invaluable to your growth and experience at PwC.

I feel empowered working at PwC with such a talented, caring and diverse team - they are always willing to share their knowledge and expertise and this has been instrumental to my sense of belonging, learning and professional growth. The array of opportunities, combined with the flexibility, inclusivity, autonomy and mutual trust that PwC fosters, truly makes it an exceptional place to work.
