You’ll develop a strong understanding of the role that technology plays in the modern day audit and how new technologies are deployed and controlled within business. We have two graduate pathways into Digital Audit, neither of which include studying for a professional qualification.
Instead you'll follow a structured training curriculum which will allow you to develop the deeper technical and data skills required as a technology auditor, in addition to learning fundamental accounting concepts that you will utilise when supporting audit engagements. Our Digital Audit pathway focuses on how we audit our client’s technology and our second pathway Digital Audit Advanced Analytics focuses on the use of technology and data analytics to deliver the audit.
This pathway will allow you to specialise in the technology aspect of the audit. You’ll develop a deep understanding of technology and our client’s use of it through a structured training programme, in addition to learning fundamental accounting concepts that you’ll utilise when supporting audit engagements. You’ll be checking IT systems to ensure they’re appropriately controlled by management and checking that the data produced is accurate, highlighting and questioning any differences. It's investigative work where you’ll regularly speak with clients, in-person or collaboratively through technology to engage in your work.
